One year after its official launch in London, JTC Private Office treated guests to a champagne welcome and a private introduction to the Old Masters sale highlights, hosted by Chloe Stead, Deputy Director, Specialist Old Master Paintings and George Gordon, Co-Chairman of Sotheby’s Worldwide Old Master Paintings and Drawings Department.
Matthias Belz, Head of JTC Private Office commented: “It was a pleasure to welcome our guests to such a beautiful setting and to spend time with the Sotheby’s Old Masters’ specialists. JTC Private Office officially launched in November 2018, and this partnership with Sotheby’s gave our clients a truly unique experience.”
Following the private viewing, 700 of Sotheby’s guests explored the gallery during a two hour cocktail reception. The highlight of the exhibition was the Francisco de Zurbarán’s Christ on the Cross, an extremely powerful and moving piece of art.
