Situation

After the successful sale of his business, our client wanted to relocate with his family so that they could spend more time together and enjoy their new wealth. The Channel Islands were selected due to their safe and stable political and economic environment with good connections to the UK and mainland Europe.

Relocation Services

We sourced suitable accommodation for the family, initially renting to allow the family to get to know the island. We handled the required immigration administration and assisted with the registration of personal vehicles. Assistance with the relevant schooling options for younger family members was also provided.

Wealth Planning

We spent time with the client, defining investment objectives and risk tolerance as well as investment restrictions and ethical considerations. Using this information we put together a beauty parade of appropriate managers and encouraged the client to diversify investments across different managers with different styles. We then provided assistance implementing the agreed investment managers and provided ongoing support.

Personal

We encouraged the family to think about generational planning and made sure they had up-to-date wills for each country where they were holding assets. Finally, we ensured that an overview of their information was easy for them to access and understand using Edge.
